ACE 2013 Europe was held last week in Bad Soden, Germany. It was a great event with record turnout as Aras users - present and future, partners, industry leaders and members of the Aras global team all came together to network, share best practices, see what everyone else is doing and find out what's next for the most advanced PLM technology on the planet.
Futurist and change management pro, Ton Zijlstra set the table with an interesting presentation that showed how fast our world changes today and the important role community will play in the future. Then Aras President and Founder Peter Schroer shared his vision for the Future of PLM, stressing the need for resiliency and openness in PLM solutions, and the importance of people in the product lifecycle.
Aras users shared their experience and expertise in a series of presentations that included Carestream Health on PLM as a platform for Implementing Successful Transformational Changes, Schrader Electronics on how to Build a PLM Skyscraper by selecting the right PLM provider and implementation partner, North Sea Electronics on why choose Aras for PLM in Harsh Environments in the high temp and high pressure world of electronics design, and Breton SpA on PLM implementation from Commercial Configuration to Order Development for Industrial Machinery.
Attendees also got to talk one-on-one with seasoned Aras users, including GETRAG Ford, Alessi, Freudenberg and more, in the UnConferenced Sessions. They met with partners, including ACE 2013 Europe Gold Sponsor T-Systems International, NTT Data, Kisters, Seeburger and xPLM, and they saw the latest innovations from Focus-PLM, Minerva, AESSiS, Softech, ITI TranscenData and others in the Solution Showcase.
The Aras Tech team rounded out the 2-day event with presentations on What's New & Coming Soon from Aras, Change Management, Secure Social and Visual Collaboration, Digital Mark-up, Requirements Management, and the Aras Roadmap.
